Veronica Flowers (she/her) Director of Programming
Veronica is an artist from Hopedale and currently works as a Policy Advisor with Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami in Ottawa.
Veronica holds a B.Sc. (Env. Science) and M.A. (Env. Policy) from Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN).
At a young age, Veronica learned how to sew from her nan at a local sewing circle in Hopedale. Since then, she has been creating her own crafts to sell, attending various craft fairs, and her work has been featured at multiple locations such as the Craft Council of NL, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and the “Nunatsiavut: Our Beautiful Land” exhibition at La Guilde in Montreal. She has facilitated many sewing workshops to show and teach others the art of creating slippers, pualok and kamek.
Veronica, along with Kimberly, co-facilitated a series of sealskin and kamik-making workshops in Nain in July & August 2023 (Kisiliginik Workshops).
Her role with Inotsiavik to develop and facilitate sewing workshops along with administration support.
In her spare time Veronica enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, sewing, swimming, and spending time with her cat Willow.
