Valerie Flowers (she/her) Caterer, Support

Valerie is a retired teacher. Originally from Newfoundland, she moved to Hopedale in 1989 and spent her 30+ teaching career at Amos Comenius Memorial School (ACMS) in Hopedale. She currently continues to work at ACMS as a substitute teacher.

Her many years of teaching has given her opportunities to work with children and youth of all ages. Her knowledge and wisdom on lesson planning, deliverance of lessons, and project ideas will be an important asset with Inotsiavik.

A well-respected community member and volunteer, Valerie goes above and beyond in everything she does. Her dedication and commitment to the success of this project is unwavering. She is also an excellent cook/baker, and has previously catered for the Nunatsiavut Assembly meetings in Hopedale.

Her role with Inotsiavik will be catering for workshops/projects, assisting with house/space maintenance, providing transportation, providing financial assistance, and being a strong supporter for the team as a whole.

In her spare time Valerie likes to spend time on the land, cook/bake, go berry picking, go fishing, and volunteer in the community.
